Medical Assistant, Internal Medicine (Dallas, TX)
We are seeking a friendly and organized Medical Assistant to join Internal Medicine Associates of Texas, a patient-centered internal medicine practice located in Dallas, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an outpatient environment with a schedule supportive of work-life balance.
This position handles a variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, accompanying patients to exam rooms, taking vitals, collecting patient history, administering injections and immunizations, assisting with procedures, prescription refills, and patient callbacks.

Essential Functions:
• Reception duties including patient check-in/check-out, answering calls, scheduling, and insurance verification
• Calculate and collect patient co-pays
• Rooming patients, taking vitals, and collecting patient histories
• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under provider direction
• Update and file patient medical records
• Relay instructions to patients and families
• Administer injections and vaccinations
• Clean and disinfect exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between visits
• Restock exam/procedure rooms
• Process prescription refills and patient call-backs
• Support patient communication and coordination of care
Skills and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalency required
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required
• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Reception experience highly preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office
• EMR experience required; E-Clinical Works preferred
• NCT preferred but not required
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Social perceptiveness and strong patient service orientation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning abilities
Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No weekends, holidays, or after hours.
