Medical Billing Customer Service Representative (Dallas, TX)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Billing Customer Service Representative to join our corporate office located in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting our healthcare partners by providing accurate billing assistance, resolving patient inquiries, and ensuring a smooth revenue cycle process.
This position is responsible for serving as the primary contact for patients and providers regarding billing-related questions and concerns. Responsibilities include answering inquiries, researching and resolving account issues, providing clear and accurate information, and ensuring a positive customer service experience that supports the overall revenue cycle process.

Essential Functions:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and providers regarding billing questions and concerns.
- Respond to a high volume of inbound calls and make outbound calls to collect payments or set up payment plans.
- Research and resolve account issues, discrepancies, and complaints in a timely, professional manner.
- Provide accurate information on statements, copays, outstanding balances, services, and rates.
- Work with patients or insurance representatives to resolve billing inquiries and payment arrangements within established protocols.
- Follow up on delinquent accounts, offering repayment options when appropriate.
- Assist with mailing claims, correspondence, and other billing-related communications.
- Identify and report inconsistencies, changes, or errors with payor activity to the billing supervisor.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance by protecting patient privacy and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Participate in meetings, training programs, and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the billing department.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or two years of related experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Medical billing experience.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable and insurance processes.
- Professional phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced situations calmly and professionally.
- Strong multitasking and independent work capabilities with high accuracy.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to client/patient satisfaction.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Athena or eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience preferred.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. No weekends, holidays, or after hours.
