Medical Front Office Receptionist - Cardiology (Dallas, TX)

Then join us! 99MGMT is seeking a Front Office Receptionist and Insurance Authorization Specialist for Connected Cardiovascular Care Associates to support the Dallas and Rockwall (as needed) locations. Connected Cardiovascular Care, led by Dr. Tony Das, is a premier private Cardiology practice focused on delivering innovative, comprehensive heart care in North Texas. Duties include answering phones, scheduling patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and completing insurance authorizations for office-based testing such as CTs. Travel required to both Dallas and Rockwall locations.
This position will require a valid DL and reliable transportation.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. No weekends, holidays or after hours.

Responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients
- Checking patients in and collecting sufficient information for billing and claim purposes
- Answering, screening, triaging and directing phone calls as needed
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Notifying medical staff of patient's arrival
- Verifying insurance using insurance web portals and by phone
- Processing incoming patient referrals
- Completing insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications for office procedures and testing
- Checking patients out, which includes coordinating testing and explaining specific instructions for each test
- Collecting patient balances including co-pays, deductibles, co-insurances, and outstanding balances
- Explaining patient payment responsibility
- Other administrative duties as assigned and as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Must have at least one year of experience working in a front desk role in a doctor’s office
- Understanding of insurance coverages (co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- EMR experience also required; E-Clinical Works (eCW) preferred
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
